Before you start building, decide on the type of base you need. There are many types of bases, you need to pick the one that works best for your Townhall level. For example, the best base for TH16 is an Anti-2 Star Base.
To begin your base, focus on setting up a strong core. The core should be the heart of your defense, protecting your Town Hall and other vital structures. For Anti-2 style bases, the townhall is placed in the center of the base, making it easy for the attacker to 1-Star.
Add key defenses like Inferno Towers, Scatter Shots, and Ricochet Cannons within the core. These buildings are essential for dealing heavy damage to attackers. Make sure you avoid placing them in a way that offers too much zap value, as this can make them vulnerable to lightning spell attacks.
Separate the base into different compartments to make it harder for attackers to take down multiple defenses at once. For instance, isolate the Town Hall with walls to protect it from ranged units and Sarch Blimps.
Position high-value targets like the Eagle Artillery and Clan Castle within protected compartments. Ensure these compartments are well-defended and placed to avoid easy access from obvious attac pathing.
